WARWICK

Warwick basses are distinguished for their "growling" tone and use of high quality and exotic tonewoods. The Streamer models use a body shape similar to that of Stuart Spector NS basses, which caused a conflict with Spector when the Streamer model was first introduced. Since the 1990s, all electric basses use MEC pickups and electronics (Seymour Duncan and Bartolinis on certain models, most often on Limited and Special Edition series). All Warwick basses are crafted in Germany, except for acoustic Warwick Alien basses that are being crafted in Vietnam, the Pro Series (Korea) that produce Corvette Standard models, and the budget line of Warwick, RockBass, which is located in China.

Most of Warwick's Special and Limited Edition are built out of even more rare woods and different pickup and electronic configurations. There are around forty Special Edition basses currently in production, while they offer a special-run Limited Edition bass annually. These basses are upgraded versions of existing models that usually have features otherwise unavailable.

Warwick produces near twenty signature basses. Some of the artist that have their signature Warwick basses are Stuart Zender, Jack Bruce, Bootsy Collins, T.M. Stevens, Robert Trujillo, P-Nut, Jonas Hellborg, Adam Clayton, John Entwistle and Jäcki Reznicek. It is also interesting to note that P-Nut of 311 has three signature basses, all Streamer models. Stuart Zender signature bass is designed by the likes of Stuart Zender, and features a body shape new to Warwick basses. In 2010, Robert Trujillo's signature 5-string Streamer was first introduced.
